JEWEL BOX
This project – curated over a decades long friendship between Peggy and the homeowner – reflects a love of Art Deco design, bold colour, and glamorous touches.
In the front entryway, a lush, eye-catching mural greets you and sets the tone for the rest of the home. The living room, designed to host large groups of family and friends, features a custom extra long sofa for maximum seating. Layers of luxurious textiles like grasscloth, silk, and velvet in rich jewel tones play alongside glitzy lucite and gold accents.
The family room offers a more subdued, cocoon-like atmosphere by enveloping the room in dark chocolate grasscloth and congac leather – the perfect backdrop for vivid fuchsia accents.
Much of the artwork and pottery has been collected by the client over years of travel to Europe, the Caribbean, and Palm Springs and has inspired the design of the home.
