Sanctuary in the sky
This latest project from Rousseau’s Design Studio is a testament to the power of thoughtful and intentional design.
Our client downsized from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom rental unit in the newly built Wellings of Whitby. She wanted her new 16th floor abode to feel light and airy yet retain a sense of groundedness and personality – a zen sanctuary for a new stage in life.
An icy blue wall colour greets you like a breath of fresh air as you enter the unit, offering a subtle backdrop to varying shades of blue throughout the main living area. Hits of coral and a delicate floral motif offer a feminine retreat in the primary bedroom and ensuite.
Notable features include a custom storage bed with statement headboard, an attractive linen cupboard that doubles as extra pantry storage, and a custom shower curtain that dresses up a builder basic bathroom.
